伊賀組紐

工芸品について

三重県伊賀市で生産される絹糸の組紐（くみひも）。奈良時代から仏具・装束の飾り紐として発展し、江戸時代には帯締め・羽織紐など和装の小物として需要が拡大した。台組（だいぐみ）と呼ばれる丸台・角台・高台などの専用道具で、複数の糸を規則的に組み上げる技法が特徴。現代は和装小物にとどまらず、ハンドバッグの持ち手・ブレスレット・ネクタイなど現代ファッション小物にも展開。映画「君の名は。」（2016年）のモチーフとして世界的に注目された。

Iga Kumihimo are braided silk cords produced in Iga City, Mie Prefecture. Developed from the Nara period as decorative cords for Buddhist implements and imperial robes, demand expanded during the Edo period for Japanese clothing accessories such as obi clasps and haori ties. The technique is characterized by the use of specialized tools called 'daigumi' such as marudai (round stand), kakudai (square stand), and takadai (high stand) to systematically braid multiple threads together. Today, production extends beyond Japanese clothing accessories to modern fashion items including handbag handles, bracelets, and neckties. Gained worldwide attention as the motif of the film 'Your Name' (2016).
