About Konosu Hina Ningyo (Konosu Hina Dolls)
Konosu Hina Ningyo are hina dolls produced in Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture. Said to have started in the mid-Edo period, it is known as a doll production area alongside Iwatsuki in Saitama. Producing diverse styles including hina dolls, hanging decorations, and glass case displays. Konosu City hosts the annual 'Konosu Bikkuri Hinamatsuri' (Surprising Doll Festival) in spring, famous for Japan's tallest (31-tier) pyramid doll display—a tourist attraction where crafts and tourism converge.
