About Osaka Naniwa Suzuki
Osaka Naniwa Suzuki are tin vessels, sake ware, and tea ceremony utensils produced in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. From around the mid-Edo period, craftspeople in Naniwa (Osaka) began producing tin ware, developing into a production area for quality sake vessels and tea ceremony tools favored by tea ceremony practitioners and sake connoisseurs. Known for its antibacterial properties, high thermal conductivity, and ability to mellow the taste of beer and sake, representative products include sake cups, sake bottles, and tea saucers. The manufacturing process combines forging, casting, and polishing, characterized by an elegant silver-white metallic sheen.
