工芸品について
兵庫県三木市・小野市を中心に生産される刃物。室町時代から大工道具・農具の産地として発展し、豊臣秀吉の三木城攻め（1578〜80年）の後、復興のために全国から鍛冶職人が集まり産地が形成されたとも伝わる。現在は鋸（のこぎり）・鑿（のみ）・鉋（かんな）などの大工道具のほか、ハサミ・刈込鋏なども生産する。
Banshu cutlery is knives and tools produced mainly in Miki City and Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture. Developed from the Muromachi period as a production area for carpenter tools and agricultural implements. It is also said that smiths gathered from across Japan to rebuild after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's siege of Miki Castle (1578-80). Currently produces carpenter tools such as saws, chisels, and planes, as well as scissors and pruning shears.
