About Kutani Ware

Kutani ware is a colorful porcelain originating from the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture. Known for its bold painting using five colors (red, green, purple, dark blue, and yellow), called 'Kutani Gosai.' Founded in 1655 under the order of the Daishoji Domain, it was revived at the end of the Edo period after a period of closure.
