About Tosa Forged Cutlery

Tosa forged cutlery is knives and cutting tools produced around Kami City and Konan City, Kochi Prefecture. From the early Edo period, agricultural and forestry cutting tools such as machetes (nata), sickles (kama), and hoes developed to meet the demands of Kochi's thriving forestry and agricultural industries. It now produces diverse cutting tools, known nationwide for sharpness and durability.
