About Tokyo Yuzen Dyeing
Tokyo Yuzen is yuzen dyeing produced in Tokyo. Developed from the late Edo period to Meiji era as Kyo and Kaga techniques spread to Edo. Reflecting the Edo aesthetic of 'iki' (refined elegance) and 'inase' (dashing style), it is characterized by clean and sophisticated designs. Compared to Kyo-Yuzen, it tends to be more streamlined with many designs making effective use of white space.
