About Bizen Ware
Bizen ware is pottery produced in the Inbe district of Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture—one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns dating to the late Heian period. Fired without glaze at 1,200-1,300°C for over two weeks, unique patterns called 'Hidasuki,' 'Botamochi,' and 'Goma' are created by fire and ash. Beloved by tea practitioners and gourmets for maturing with use.
